Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today’s session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER’s ActionTracker data system.

Bank of America (NYSE:BAC): More than 20,000 June 12 calls were bought for $0.03 as investors look for upside in the stock. Volume, however, was below open interest. BAC rose 0.62 percent to $8.98.

EXCO Resources (NYSE:XCO): More than 14,000 May 6 calls traded, with the large blocks purchased for $0.45. Volume was 10 times open interest, and traders are looking for the stock to rally. XCO rose 5.20 percent to $6.07.

CVR Energy (NYSE:CVI): Investors bought some 8,000 September 30 puts for $0.25, positioning for a potential decline after the stock rallied. CVI is up 8.14 percent to $30.14.

CurrencyShares Japanese Yen Trust (NYSEArca:FXY): Volume surged in the June 118 puts and the June 113 puts, with 4,500 contracts trading at both strikes. FXY fell 0.36 percent to $120.62.
