Stocks are little-changed as the S&P 500 pauses at resistance before testimony by Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke.
Europe has fought back from modest losses and is now slightly positive after a strong earnings report from Bank of America. Asian markets were mixed to lower in the overnight session.
The next potentially big catalyst comes at 10 a.m. ET when Bernanke addresses the House Financial Services Committee. He will return to Capitol Hill tomorrow to appear before the Senate.
