Stocks are up slightly after inching higher this morning as traders prepare for the second quarter.
S&P 500 futures have erased earlier losses, while futures on the Nasdaq 100 and Dow Jones Industrial Average have been positive most of the morning. European bourses are modestly green as well, though Asian markets fell overnight.
Investors are returning to the market from a three-day weekend and after the S&P 500 rallied 10 percent in the first quarter. The SPX is less than 1 percent below its previous all-time high in 2007, and other key indexes such as the Russell and Dow have already broken out into record territory.
